WINSTON-SALEM Mr. Carl Ray Brown went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born November 12, 1956 in Forsyth County to Lemmer Tuttle Brown and Walter Lindsay Brown. Carl was a charter member of Missions Baptist Church where he was the choir director for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Carl leaves behind his devoted wife, Maggie Helen Brown; daughter, Jennifer Wall and husband, Dr. Tim Wall; son, Daniel Brown; two grandchildren, Jason and Layla Wall; parents, Lindsay and Lemmer Brown; and brother, Harvey Brown.

A Funeral Service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Missions Baptist Church with the Rev. David Keaton officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
