C. Leon Tomlin

Mr. C. Leon Tomlin, 66, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1946 in Lynchburg, VA to Frances Paschal Tomlin and William Roscoe Tomlin. Mr. Tomlin served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Messiah Moravian Church. After retiring from Triad Municipal ABC Board he enjoyed working part time for Flow Lexus in Winston-Salem and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Calderwood Tomlin; one sister, Connie Duggins (Bill) of Walnut Cove; a niece, Renee Sealey; a sister-in-law, Denise Calderwood of Kannapolis and his faithful companion, Hunter. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Messiah Moravian Church with Dr. Truman L. Dunn officiating. There is no stated visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller St., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or to the D.L. Davis Cancer Center, 3333 Silas Creek Pkwy.,Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank all the people who lifted Leon up in prayer and provided love and support through his journey.
