Mr. C. P. Disher, Jr., 85, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1925 in Forsyth County, the son of the late, Connie P. Disher, Sr. and Connie Smith Disher. Mr. Disher was a member of Oak Grove Moravian Church. He served with the US Army during World War II and was retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company following 37 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Wesley Disher. Survivors include his wife, whom he married March 20, 1948, Willie Holleman Disher of the home; two daughters, Pamela Disher Warren and husband, Ron of Acworth, GA and Angela Sue Disher of Marietta, GA; one son, Mark Christian Disher and wife, Teri of Walnut Cove; one granddaughter, Meredith Warren Wann and husband, Charlie of Powder Springs, GA; one sister, Bessie Beauchamp of Winston-Salem; three nieces and four nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Moravian Church with Rev. Matthew Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
