Bryant David Cook

Mr. Bryant David Cook, 84, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully with his family gathered by him on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Mr. Bryant was born on July 9, 1940, in Avery County, to the late Mr. Jack Worth Cook and Mrs. Edna Macel Cook. 

Mr. Cook was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and was always willing to share the word of God to all. Bryant was employed for 37 ½ years through Piedmont Concrete. He was a hard worker and truly was dedicated to his job as a dispatcher. After retirement, you could find Bryant in the garden or watching his beloved Atlanta Braves or Carolina Panthers play. Bryant was married to the love of his life, Jewel for 65 years. Together, they built a life of love and happiness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by three brothers and one sister. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jewel Storie Cook; two sons, David Cook and Eddie Cook (Janel); and a grandson, Ryan Cook (Maria).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jim Bush and Pastor Keith Hudak officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family during this time.
