Bruce Lee Swaim

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Bruce Lee Swaim, 58, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at his home. Bruce was born on March 18, 1954 in Forsyth County to William Clay and Marion Hastings Swaim. He was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Kernersville where his nurturing personality and love for children made him an asset to the Children's Ministry. Bruce enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard and small engine repair. Bruce was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Susan Wall Swaim, of the home; one daughter, Cyndy Riccardi (Mark) of Walburg; his mother, Marion Swaim of Kernersville; one grandchild, to be born in June;one sister, Donna Swaim Heiser (Stan) of Charlotte; two nieces, Shannon Shepherd (Rob) and Lindsey Heiser; and all of Susan's loving family. A service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church - Children's Ministry, 401 Oakhurst Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Swaim family.
