Bruce Earl Snow

KERNERSVILLE-Bruce Earl Snow, 72, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1938 in Surry Co. to the late Merritt and Zerita Phillips Snow . Bruce worked for Hanes Hosiery then was employed by Westinghouse Turbine Components as a computer programmer and also worked in heating and air for Manuel Sheet Metal. He was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. Bruce loved to golf and played whenever possible. He also enjoyed carp fishing, but most of all he loved his Sunday dinners with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Manuel Snow. Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Blevins and husband, David; his son, Ashley Snow and wife, Amber; four grandchildren, Amber Idol (Matt), Lauren Blevins, Apani and Weston Snow; three great-grandchildren, Maia Blevins, Lily and Caroline Idol; one sister, Bea Whicker of Wallburg; one brother, Darrell Snow of Winston Salem; and many extended family and friends. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Bauguess and Rev. Ellis Rouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
