Mr. Bruce Fowler Hayworth Jr., 60, went home peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, August 21, 2009, after a strong battle against lung cancer. Bruce lived at his home in Pfafftown. Bruce is preceded in death by his Mother and Father Bruce and Marion Hayworth and by his Granddaughter Anna Virginia Koch. Bruce is survived and will be missed in life by his very big family, his beloved wife Sibyl, his daughter Jill Hayworth Koch and son-in-law Lee P. Koch Jr., his daughter Susan Hayworth Clarkson and son-in-law Andrew J. Clarkson, his daughter Katherine Hayworth Hargis and son-in-law Ian S. Hargis, his daughter Amanda Hayworth McLoughlin and son-in-law Christopher J. McLoughlin. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kenan James Clarkson, Charlotte Salena Koch and Caroline McLoughlin who is due to join the family November 21, 2009, and two step-grandchildren; Ainsley and Liam Hargis. His sister Gil Hayworth and nephew Lee S. Harris. Bruce would not be happy if we didn't include his two canine best friends Zak and Zip. Bruce was born May 25, 1949. He lived an accomplished and successful life. He enjoyed a wonderful forty-two years of marriage to Sibyl. Bruce loved the Lord and his church, Beck's Baptist, which he grew up in. Bruce was an unimposing, high integrity moral guide in his family. He was the hardest worker in life and as a Manager at Clemmons Milling Company a job he only left a few weeks ago. Bruce's true passion was horses, a love that he passed on to his family. If you knew Bruce, then you know he should have been a cowboy. Your family will miss you Bruce and you will live in our hearts forever and you will be reunited with them all one day. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller in Rural Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening, August 24, 2009. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Beck's Baptist Church with Dr. Karl Minor and Rev. Sharon Engebretson officiating. Burial will follow at Pfafftown Christian Church Cemetery on Community Church Road.
