Brian "Rob" Robert Zawrotny passed away on November 16, 2020, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A private memorial service will be held at the Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Rob was born on July 28, 1979, as the third child of Steven Craig Zawrotny and Carol Elizabeth Zawrotny. Rob grew up with one older brother and three sisters. As a child, Rob was a Boy Scout who enjoyed hiking and camping. As a teenager, Rob was a pitcher on the High School baseball team. As a young man, Rob traveled to Ukraine and served a mission as an Elder for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon returning from his mission, Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Brigham Young University. After working professionally for a couple years with his degree, Rob decided to pursue a Juris Doctorate degree at Wake Forest University School of Law in North Carolina. As soon as he graduated, Rob received a job offer from Novant Health as an Associate Attorney and he climbed the ladder to the position of Director, Assistant General Counsel. Rob married Amanda Phelps Baird on May 16th, 2015, and made a life in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Rob was brilliant and had a witty sense of humor; he loved to laugh. He enjoyed hiking and other outdoor activities including kayaking. He enjoyed music, reading, and playing games – especially chess. He enjoyed starting new hobbies and constantly challenged himself to find new ones; some of the many were photography and woodworking. Rob is survived by his wife, Amanda, and their two children Avery and Alex. Rob was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and an uncle. Rob was dearly loved by everyone in his life, and he will be missed by all.
