Mr. Brendan Alan Bitting, 36, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2023, at his home in Rural Hall. He was born on March 6, 1987, in Forsyth County to Gregory and Julia Bitting. Brendan was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and graduated from RJ Reynolds High School in 2005. He attended classes at East Carolina University after high school. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Titans and Panthers play football. Brendan had a generous heart which most folks did not realize and was a talented person who never found himself. He held a fondness for Baby Bear in “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. When you hum your favorite tune, that is who Brendan was. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Brian and Sean Bitting, maternal grandparents; Paul and Elsie McCarthy, and paternal grandparents; Joseph and Sara Bitting. Brendan struggled with the loss of these family members and is certainly relieved to be reunited with them. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Julia Bitting, a brother, Frank Bitting (Sandra), two nieces; Sophia and Tatiana Bitting, one uncle, Jody Bitting of Walnut Cove, and his beloved Sheltie; Dahlia. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Forsyth County Animal Shelter 5570 Sturmer Park Cir, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
