Brenda Wilson

Brenda Joyce Carter Wilson, 80, passed away on November 15, 2021. Brenda was born on August 21, 1941, to John Pruitt Carter and Nora Melton Carter in Cabarrus County. She attended nursing school in Carbarrus County before leaving for Germany with her Husband while he was serving in the USAF. She later went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in theology from Vintage Bible College. She was an established artist with Associated Artists of WS and sold many paintings in shows. She was a pianist and singer and sang in many churches throughout her life serving her Lord. She had a gift of teaching as well. Brenda retired from Novant Health after 26 years. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, JP Carter of Kannapolis. Surviving are her daughter, Julie Speas (Eric) of Lexington NC; son, Chris Wilson of Apex NC; grandchildren, Erica Hauser (Michael) of Belmont NC, Ryan Speas of Winston-Salem NC, and Anna D’Amour of Charlotte NC; two great granddaughters, Lucy Rae and Andie Elizabeth Hauser; and her brother, Charles Carter (Rhoda) of Kannapolis. Celebration of Life: The service will be Friday, November 19, 2021. Visitation: 1:30-2:30 and the service directly to follow at 2:30. An additional service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Kannapolis at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 22, 2021, with interment following.
