Brenda McDaniel Watkins

Mrs. Brenda McDaniel Watkins, 67, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014. She was born February 22, 1947 in Guilford County to Kathleen Parks McDaniel and Odie McDaniel. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Braxton Watkins. Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Watkins; one sister, Linda Draper (husband David) of Charleston, SC; one brother, Wayne McDaniel of Greensboro; her nephew's daughter, who she thought of as a granddaughter, Megan Johnson and a special nephew, Kim Johnson (wife Denise) of Clemmons. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Rennie Adcock officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
