Mrs. Brenda June Allen Swain, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at her home. She was born December 11, 1945, in Forsyth County to the late Gilbert Lemmy Allen and Leona Vida Doby Allen. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member at Woodland Baptist Church. She was known as “Momma Swain” at the bowling center for her love and kindness to others. Brenda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her son, David Andrew Swain and brother-in-law, Roger Knox. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, David Kenneth Swain; two daughters, Gina Testa (Paul) and Tanya Dyson (Mark); daughter-in-law, Brenda Swain; eight grandchildren, David Testa, Bruce Testa, Tiara Brown, Tyler Brown, Stephanie Swain, Parker Myrick, Dallen Myrick, and Joseph Swain; three great-grandchildren, Jazmine Cook, Trey Cook, and Jaida Cook; brother, Tim Allen (Lois); sister, Lori Knox; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00PM Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM- 3:00PM prior to the service at the church.
