Brenda Penny Armstrong Richardson

Mrs. Brenda ""Penny"" Armstrong Richardson, 60, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1950 in Forsyth County to Harvey Linville and Kathleen Boyd Armstrong. She was the Manager of The Pantry on Old Mountain Rd. in Kernersville. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Steve Richardson; one son, Butch Richardson; and two brothers, Harvey and Robert Armstrong. Surviving are two sons, Michael Richardson (Carlotta) of Lexington and Matthew Richardson (Lynette) of Lexington; one daughter, Stacey Richardson of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five sisters, Lucy Myers (Clyde), Millie Plemmons (Jonny), Ruth Watts (David), Betty Kiger (Bobby) and Mary Goins; and one brother, Gary Armstrong (Lauren). A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel and at other times at the home of Mrs. Richardson.
