Brenda "Carol" Ivey

Brenda "Carol" Ivey, 80, of Ridgeland, SC, formerly of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born on January 17, 1945, in Winston-Salem, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Lewis M. and Alberta Brandon Reid.

Ms. Brenda retired from AT&T after a career in circuit board production, then worked for Sam’s Club for ten years in customer service. She loved cooking, and growing vegetables to can for the winter. She was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, James Ivey; and her sister Marion Ann McKenzie.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Annette Sexton (Curt); sister, Kathy Sue Cook (Chris); niece, Casi Murdaugh (Sean); nephew, Trey Hayes (Lindsey); and grandchildren, Christopher and Jeffery Sexton. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
