Brenda Bowlin Hudspeth

Ms. Brenda Bowlin Hudspeth, 69, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Hudspeth was born on June 1, 1946, in Surry County, NC to Leslie Eligah Bowlin and Ramona Lowe Bowlin. She graduated from North Surry High School in 1964. Brenda worked as both a CNA and Med Tech at multiple assisted living facilities. She enjoyed interacting and caring for the residents and their families. Brenda believed in her Lord and Savior and had strong Christian beliefs. She loved her daughter and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed laughing and joking around with them every chance she got. Brenda cherished the annual trips with her family to Myrtle Beach. Brenda fought hard during her short illness and had a strong will to live to be there for her beloved family as long as she could. Mrs. Hudspeth was preceded in death by her father and also the father of her children, Floyd Wayne Prevette. Mrs. Hudspeth is survived by her daughter, Tammy Prevette Hondos of Clemmons, NC; one son, Russell Allen Prevette (Marty) of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Dina Hondos, Taylor Hondos and Dimitri Hondos, all of Clemmons, NC; her mother, Ramona Lowe Bowlin of Mt. Airy, NC; one sister, Susie Bowlin-Childress of Mt. Airy, NC; two brothers, Jerry Bowlin of Clemmons, NC and Terry Bowlin (Vickie) of King, NC; a son-in-law, Steve Hondos of Advance, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. In accordance with Brenda's wishes, there will be no formal services held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or The Colon Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Ave., NW Suite 1066, Washington, DC 20005. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mrs. Hudspeth
