Mrs. Brenda Ann Mock Gordon, 60 of Clemmons, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on September 16, 1947 to Emory and Betty Ann Garwood Mock, Jr. Mrs. Gordon attended Pinedale Christian Church. She worked for Sides Seed and Landscaping for many years. She was a hairdresser for 20 years. She loved bowling which she enjoyed all of her life. She also loved the beach, playing Bingo, UNO, racing and fishing. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Gordon and her dad. She is survived by 2 sons, Jody Lee Gordon, Cory Eugene Gordon and his wife Kimberley of Winston-Salem, her mom, Betty Ann Mock of Lexington, 1 grandson, Zachary John Gordon, 1 brother, Randy Grey Mock and his wife Lea of Lexington and her best friends, Carol Wilder and her husband Charles of Winston-Salem, Isabelle Robertson of Clemmons and Phyllis and Jon McKee of Clemmons. The family would like to thank Dr. Murphy and his staff at Forsyth Medical Center for their wonderful care. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Terry Ragsdale officiating. The family will receive friends at Betty Mocks home in Lexington following the service.
