Brenda Kaye Blackburn

LEXINGTON, NC-Mrs. Brenda Kaye Butner Blackburn, 65, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Blackburn was born in Davidson County, NC on December 4, 1949 to the late Arthur Eugene Butner and Sadie Benge Butner. Brenda was of the Baptist faith and was employed with Hedgepeth Dry Cleaners for twenty years. She always enjoyed trips to the North Carolina Coast with her family. Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her husband, Frederick ""Fred"" Blackburn of Lexington, NC; one daughter, Terri Lynn Jones of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Amanda Rominger and Jessica Rominger; and two great-grandchildren, Harpor Delanne Rominger and Madison Marie Yarbrough. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. Craig Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Brenner Children's Hospital, P.O.
