Brenda Kay Belk

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Brenda Kay Belk, 69, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at her home surrounded by her devoted daughter, Kay. Brenda was born on June 14, 1945 in Forsyth County to Lucille Sowers. She worked for over 22 years at Highland Industries until her health declined. Brenda loved to play the sweepstakes and enjoyed country music!
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Young; and her mother, Lucille Sowers.
Surviving are her daughter, Kay Lawrence; two step-sons, Rick and Marshall Young; grandchildren, Heather Lawrence, TJ Lawrence and Brandy Elliott; a brother, Ronnie Wagoner; and her great grand-dog, ""Pup Pup"".
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Charles Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, at the funeral home.
