Bonnie Rebecca Cole Speas Young

Mrs. Bonnie Rebecca Cole Speas Young, 87 of Pinnacle, NC died Saturday, December 9th, 2023, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mrs. Young was born December 25th, 1935, in Stokes County to the late Helen Alice Gordon Cole and Robert Earl Cole. She loved her husband and family fiercely. Mrs. Young was intelligent, savvy and lived life boldly. Bridge, reading, traveling, and shopping were her favorite pastimes.  She was gracious, graceful, and always immaculately dressed. Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Bernie Young of Pinnacle, NC, two daughters, Sharon R. Speas and husband David Petree of Greensboro, NC, Cindy J. Speas and husband Myron Moore of Charlotte, NC, one son, Kenneth G. Speas Jr and wife Cheryl of Pinnacle, NC, one grandson, Neil Speas and wife Jennifer, and two great granddaughters, Sophie Speas and Brianna Speas Ward and husband Justin and her beloved Belgian Malenois Ava and granddog Roman. Also surviving are her stepchildren Bernie Young Jr, Becky Martin, Donna Gunnell, Alison Jones, step Grandchildren Kristen, Kayla, Theo, DeAnna, Shawn, Lindsey, Blake, Jenna, Hannah, and Josh. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her grandparents Lora and Malon Gordon, and an, Uncle Norman Gordon and brother Larry Cole Jr. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. A private burial will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or the charity of your choice.
