Bonnie Shinn Walter

Mrs. Bonnie Shinn Walter, 88, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her home in Winston-Salem. She was born March 13, 1921 in Putnam County, Indiana to Bernard and Ruth Shinn. A member of Salem Baptist Church, Mrs. Walter was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Boyden T. Walter. Surviving are three children, Stephen Walter and wife Kelly of Dallas, Texas, Patricia Walter of Winston-Salem and Alan Walter and wife Beverly of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Adelle and husband Brian, Daniel and wife Stacey, Joshua, Matthew and Julie and twin great granddaughters April and Haley. The funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. Memorials may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators, P. O.
