Bonnie Jean Kimel Spach, 78, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her home. She was born to the late Daniel and Etta Mae Kimel on August 15, 1945, in Forsyth County. Bonnie was a proud School Teacher for over 40 years. She won many awards such as teacher of the year and loved her students dearly. She left such an impression that many of her students were known to come back and see her after graduating. Bonnie enjoyed many hobbies such as working outdoors, planting her flowers, cooking and of course, shopping. Although some of her favorite times were spent watching football and getting to cheer for her favorite team, Carolina. Bonnie dedicated her life to caring for others and to being the best wife, mother, and dog mom her family always knew her to be. In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her brother, Don Kimel. She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Richard Spach; son, Justin Spach; daughter, Christy Cottrell; grandchildren, Christian Cottrell, Brodie Spach, and Sierrah Spach; sister, Lynn Ketner, brother, Britt Kimel; and numerous other extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 12:00pm at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Mary Miller will be officiating the service.
