Bonnie was born March 25, 1945 in Forsyth County to O. R “Pete” and Louise Crews. She was a legal assistant for many years until she stopped working to care for her ailing father.
She graduated from East Forsyth Senior High School in 1963, the first graduating class. She was a member of Crews UMC for over sixty years. She loved making things, especially snowmen and sold many of these at craft shows where she enjoyed fellowship with other crafters and customers. Being known as “the snowman lady” always made her smile. Blessed with so many customers who became friends and always needed a Bonnie snowman every year. She was a member of The Kernersville Arts & Crafts Guild, where she participated in the Christmas Store for twenty years before her health declined. She was also a member of The Cricket’s Nest
She always talked about how blessed she was to have an awesome oncology team at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist. Special thanks to Dr. Bayard Powell and Laura Welsh for their excellent care. Also many thanks to each and every nurse on the third floor of the Cancer Center who brought such love and laughter during her treatments.
Surviving is the love of her life, John Michael “ Mike” who she married on April 6, 1973 and with whom she recently celebrated fifty wonderful years of marriage. She is also survived by her beloved daughter Kimberley Lewis Hutcherson (Guy) grandchildren, Zachary and Katie, brother Danny (Karen). and Sweet Molly Monster, the schnoodle she shared with her husband. Special friends Kenneth (Maggie) and Billy (Debra) Dudley. Many thanks to Billy for always being available to do whatever needed to be done.
