WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Bonnie Jean King Barber, 67, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born on March 14, 1947 in Forsyth County to Irving Jennings King and Mabel Parks King. Bonnie loved all kinds of animals and was a lifelong supporter of the Forsyth County Humane Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, William Bryan Barber. She is survived by her husband, Terry Barber of the home; a daughter, Teresa Miller of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Candace Calvo of Florida and Brittney Garcia (Tony) of Fayetteville, NC; a grandson, William Lee Barber of Winston-Salem; five great-grandchildren, Makayla, Alyvia, Christian, Jayce, and Savannah; two sisters, Peggy Bradley and Connie King, both of Winston-Salem. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the home of Terry Barber.
