Bobby G. Woodruff

KERNERSVILLE – Bobby G. Woodruff, 86, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. Bobby was born on March 26, 1939 in Wilson County to Ernest Bronze and Virginia Clyde Dawson Woodruff. He was a member of Glenn View Baptist Church since 2001. Bobby served 7 years in the US Army National Guard of Wilson and retired from ABF Trucking with 28 years of service. Bobby always loved Baseball and enjoyed teaching skills of the game to his sons and grandson, Colin. He was a big fan of UNC Basketball, Football and the New York Yankees. His life was devoted to Christ, serving his church and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Bernice and Bill Woodruff; and five sisters, Carrie Bridgers, Cora Holmes, Sue Coughlin, Vivian Woodruff and Virginia Bunn.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Dianne Robbins Woodruff; children, Rodney Woodruff (wife, Karen) of Wilson, Stan Woodruff (wife, Nikki) of Iron Station, Odell Graham (partner, Donna Kay Davis) of Randleman, and Denise, Prince (husband, Butch) of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Bobby is also survived by two brothers, Johnny Woodruff (wife, Brenda) of Wilson, and Donnie Woodruff (wife, Joyce) of Castalia; and special nephews, Ernest Woodruff (wife, Edna) and Joey Robbins (wife Connie).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Glenn View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at church.
