Bobby Smith

Winston Salem - Bobby E. "Pop" Smith, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Hospice of the Piedmont, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on January 8, 1939 in Forsyth County to Curtis Ray and Annie Hayworth Smith.

Bob was devoted to his family and his faith serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Choir Member. It was important for him to be sure everyone knew what God had done in his life, and he wanted everyone to know about the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Van Dale "Pete" Smith, Peggy Conrad, and Curtis Wayne "Chub" Smith.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 55 years, Jane Fritts Smith; his children, Beth Smith, Brad "Bubba" Smith (Paula), Jill Bumgarner (Steve), and Philip Smith (Julie); six grandchildren, Brittany Turner (Bradley), Tara Smith, Erica Bumgarner, Jacob Smith, Owen Smith, and Avery Smith; his siblings, Jean Clodfelter, Derris "Buck" Smith, Vickie Rothrock, and Linda Murray; and a host of other extended family.
