Bobby Mitchell

Bobby Gray Mitchell, 72, of Rural Hall passed away peacefully Tuesday July 27, 2021 at home with his family. He was born May 20, 1949 in Hammond Indiana. A son of the late Elmo Mitchell and Mozelle Keaton Mitchell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother; Don Mitchell, and his grandchild; Kayla Marie Willard. Bobby worked at RJ Reynolds retiring after 35 years, He was a member of Banner Town Baptist Church in Rural Hall. He loved spending time with family and taking short trips to the mountains. He always loved making everyone laugh. He was also a veteran serving in the United States Army for three and a half years. He will truly be missed by all. He was one of our greatest blessings the man we called husband, Dad, and Paw Paw. Survivors include his wife Nancy Wall Mitchell of 51 years, three daughters; Sandra Mitchell Willard and husband Kenneth Willard of East Bend, Tina Mitchell Brown and husband Ricky Brown of Spanish Fort Alabama, Tonya Mitchell Sizemore and husband Brad Sizemore of Mooresville, five grandchildren; Trevor Absher, Nathan Brown, Brandon Willard, Tyler Brown, and Riley Kate Sizemore, and one great-grandchild; Jaxton Willard. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the love and care shown by the Stokes County team of Trellis Supportive Care. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Sunday August 1, 2021 at the Bannertown Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Charles officiating.
