Bobby Kearns

Walnut Cove – Mr. Bobby Eugene Kearns passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, At Kernersville Medical Center. Bobby was born November 17, 1953, in Davidson County to the late Jack Ruben Kearns and Jean Mae Spaugh Upchurch. He was very active at Gospel Light Baptist Church; he loved his church family and he also loved to fish when time permitted. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry Upchurch and Ron Kearns.

Surviving are his loving wife; Sue Kearns, two brothers, Steve Kearns (Teresa) and Gary Upchurch (Ann), and many special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Morrison and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Gospel Light Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church at 890 Walkertown Guthrie Rd. Winston Salem, NC 27101.
