Lewisville - Mr. Bobby Ray Hubbard, 85, passed away on July 12, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born on August 16, 1930 in Kernersville, NC to George A. Hubbard and Bertha Holbrook Hubbard. He was baptized in 1953 at Trinity Moravian Church and was a founding member at Unity Moravian Church. Bobby proudly served in the US Army. He retired from Salem Steel. He was an avid golfer and was awarded many trophies including a prized 3rd place in the GGO tournament. More than anything, he will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Emma Jean Hubbard; four sisters and four brothers. Bobby is survived by his daughter, Patricia Martin (Richard); a grandson, Rich Martin (Charity); great grandchildren, Myers and Maddox Martin; a brother, Charles ""Snookie"" Hubbard, many nieces and nephews and the loving church family at Trinity Moravian. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman and Rev. Dr. Bill McElveen officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
