Bobby Willard

Kernersville – Mr. Bobby Eugene Willard, passed away January 4, 2021. He was born April 21, 1938 in Newton, NC to the late Maskie Francis Willard and Bertha Elizabeth Ledford Willard. Bobby was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, and was the first bus captain of Gospel Light Bus Ministry for over 50 years. He owned and operated Willard’s Trim Shop for over 45 years. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by, his loving wife, Polly “Lorene” Ring Willard, a sister, Peggy Woffard, a brother, Maskie “Billy” Francis Willard, Jr.

Surviving are; his loving children, two sons, Steve Willard (Debbie), Greg Willard, and Sharon Willard Hutchins (Christopher) five grandchildren, Alec, Ashlyn, Matthew, Alden, and Tabitha.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to public restrictions, there will be no formal visitation, friends can view and sign the guest register from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gospel Light Bus Ministry at 890 Walkertown Guthrie Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
