Bobby Eldridge Calloway

Mr. Bobby Eldridge Calloway, Sr., 68, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 at his home. He was born July 31, 1940 in Surry County to Roscoe Eldridge and Sarah Wilson Calloway. Mr. Calloway was retired from Roadway Express after working for Branch Motor Express and Motor Convoy with 40 years in the trucking industry. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church; the Kernersville VFW Post 5352; and the Advance Masonic Lodge 710. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Wayne. Surviving are his wife, Libby Carroll Calloway of the home; two daughters, Tonda C. Anderson and Lurae C. Oler and husband Steve; two sons, Robert Wayne Calloway and Bobby E. Calloway, Jr., all of Winston-Salem; two aunts; several cousins; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 at Crestview Memorial Park with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
