Mr. Bobby Levon Brown, 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Salisbury. He was born October 10, 1936 in Forsyth County to Maude Redding Brown and Edwin Brown. Mr. Brown served in the United States Air Force and was awarded the United States Air Force Commendation Medal at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand. He had been attending Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church for the past 14 years. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Claudia ""Dude"" Yontz Brown; two sons, Kenny Brown (wife Judy) of Mocksville and Benny Brown (wife Donna) of Kernersville; one granddaughter, Tiffany Brown of Raleigh; two God children, Barbara and Billy; two siblings, Joseph Lee Brown and Delores ""Betty"" Tesh (husband Ray) and lots of loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David Brown and Pastor Frank Antonitis officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
