Bobby James Barnes

Mr. Bobby James Barnes, 71 of Advance, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1938 in Davie County to the late Calvin and Ella Barnes. He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Barnes of Advance and Carolyn Starnes of Linwood; one son, Lee Barnes and wife Michelle of Advance; six grandchildren, Jonathon Lewis and wife Heather, Ashley Lewis, Casey Barnes, Tiffany Starnes, Meranda Barnes and Jarret Barnes; four great grandchildren, Conner Lewis, Peyton Estep, Katie May Lewis and Landon Estep; one brother, Rad Barnes of Advance and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Tony Owens and Rev. Edward Carter. Burial will follow in Bailey's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
