Bobby Cornelius Ballard

Mr. Bobby Cornelius Ballard passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at his home. He was born May 26, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late Asberry Ballard and Gertie Burchette Ballard. Mr. Ballard was an accomplished artist with his works being displayed at Bojangles, US Airways, Forsyth Medical Center, Hanes Mall, Salem Steel and Emerald Pointe. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ballard was preceded by two brothers, Pete and Harvey Ballard. Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Ballard Richburg and husband, Brian; and Patricia Ballard Hunt; one son, Toby Ballard; four grandchildren, Autumn Marie Beasley, Rebecca Hunt, Landon Hunt and Kayme Richburg; six brothers and sisters, Tommy Ballard, Peggy Ballard, Freddie Ballard, Roger Ballard, Asalee Whisnant and Tracy Ballard; also numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor the life of Mr. Ballard.
