Mrs. Bobbie Jean Kimball LaRowe, 79, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born July 25, 1930 in Forsyth County the daughter of the late Gilbert Wertz and Arabelle Druett Kimball. Mrs. LaRowe was a member of Parkland Church and was retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system following 25 years of service. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. In her life she had dedicated herself to taking care of many who were dear to her during the final days of their lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Willis LaRowe and her sister, Kathryn Smith. Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Louis LaRowe and wife, Janet and Andrew Willis LaRowe and wife, Sarah of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Jenny, Kristen, Ashley, Salem, Eliza, Emmy and Wells and two great grandsons. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Parkland Church, 2900 Old Salisbury Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
