Bobbie Coone

Mrs. Bobbie Jacqueline Irvin Coone, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Kate B. Reynold’s Hospice Home.

Bobbie was born on July 19, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Stanley Thomas Irvin and Beaulah Lackey Irvin. She was a graduate of Hanes High School. Bobbie was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith, and she was very involved and devoted to her church, Northwest Baptist Church. During her lifelong service to the church, she worked with the youth groups and was a caregiver to those who were sick.

Bobbie was employed as a telephone operator with Southern Bell and McLean Trucking, where she retired from in 1980. After she retired, she devoted her time as a volunteer at Forsyth Medical Center, a calling that was very important to her, and was recognized by the governor for her dedicated work.

Bobbie was a very giving person who was always there to care for her family, friends and church family.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul V. Irvin.

Surviving family includes her husband of 70 years, Marvin Thomas Coone, Jr.; three children, Dennis Coone (Patricia), David Coone (Lorre) and Cheryl Coone; four grandchildren, Angela Coone, Brianne Calhoun, Andrew Coone and Kathryn McCarter; three great-grandchildren, Alana, Hayden and Raina; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Ellen Strickland officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow the service in the cemetery. http://www.crisiscontrol.org/ways-to-give/
