Blonda "Jean" Hendrix Lindsey

Mrs. Blonda “Jean” Hendrix Lindsey, 70, received her angel wings on Thursday, June 15^th, 2023. Jean was born to the late Ted and Pauline Hendrix on May 28^th, 1953.

Jean attended West Wilkes High School in Millers Creek, NC, and earned a GED and Associate Degree from Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem, NC. She worked in the human resources department of several companies throughout her career.

She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, listening to Blues and Jazz, watching classic movies, and watching the ocean waves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lindsey; her brother, Timothy Hendrix; and her nephew, Dakota Hendrix.

Jean is survived by her son, Gregory Lindsey, of Winston-Salem, NC; an uncle, Ronald Jones of Matthews, NC; two sisters, Vickie Hendrix of Clemmons, NC and Paula Hendrix of Ferguson, NC; two nephews, David Andrews and wife Cathy of Pfafftown, NC, and David Sanders of Ferguson, NC; three nieces, Chandra Hendrix and partner, Chip Walker of Ferguson, NC; Kristen Pealer and husband Jeremy of Wilmington, NC; and Keely Howser of Wilmington, NC; three great nieces, Adelaide and Lucinda Walker of Ferguson, NC, and Kaia Pealer of Wilmington, NC; two great nephews, Jacob Walker of Ferguson, NC, and Logan Pealer of Wilmington, NC; as well as several cousins on both sides of the family

A small celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 25^th, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Fort Hamby Park, S., 1534 Recreation Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697 in the Laura Shelter located at the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir. There is a $5.00 fee per car to enter the lake area. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Lindsey family.
