Billy Ray "Paw" Sellers

Billy ""Paw"" Sellers, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday January 19, 2015 at Novant Health: Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Billy was born on August 1, 1940 in Columbus County. Billy proudly owned and operated Parkway Shell in Winston-Salem for 36 years. When you didn't catch him there he was on Wilshire Golf Course where he was a member, eating his daily breakfast or on the baseball field being the best assistant coach he could be. He was also a member of the Winston Salem Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sandra Sellers, and his dog Rebel; his daughter, Kathy Sellers Nash and husband Ray; his son, David Sellers and wife Sheila. They knew him by Paw - his grandchildren, Wesley Sellers and wife Danica, Landon Foster, Courtney Rae, and Tyler Sellers; his siblings, Bobby Sellers and wife Evelyn, Marvin Sellers and wife Nancy, Alice and husband Guy Best, Judy and husband Joe Simmons, Sam Simmons, Donnie Simmons and wife Angie; and his sister-in-law Barbara Sellers, sister-in-law Ann ""Betty"" Merritt, and brother-in-law Ron New. Billy was also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Sellers Simmons; his father, Vern Sellers; his daughter, Belinda Marcel Sellers; his brother, Vernon Sellers; his brother-in-law, Bud Merritt; and sister-in-law, Marie Simmons. Family will welcome friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at First Christian Church of Winston-Salem. Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11am at First Christian Church of Winston-Salem. Donations can be made in honor of Billy to Kidney Foundation of North Carolina or First Christian Church of Winston-Salem.
