Billy Palmer

Mr. Billy Harden Palmer, 81, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry Co. on September 7, 1941, the son of the late James Anderson Palmer and Ida Irene Cain Palmer. Billy was a carpenter for the majority of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Palmer; a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and John King; and a brother, Jimmy Palmer. Billy is survived by his son, Jason Palmer and wife Stephanie of Pilot Mountain; a granddaughter, Mychalah Bennett and husband Jordan of Pilot Mountain; and a great-grandson, Malachi Pridgen. He is also survived by a special friend, Ted Edwards; and his special dog, “Lucky”. A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
