Billy Clarence Myers, Sr.

Mr. Billy Clarence Myers, Sr., 80, passed away June 13, 2010 at his home. He was born February 17, 1930 to the late Clarence Preston and Mary Ruth Allman Myers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Myers. He enjoyed and retired from a long career, in which he was well known in the automobile business at Bill Myers Truck Sales. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. All who knew him will miss him greatly. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Myers; three sons, Billy C. Myers, Jr. and wife Ellen, Rickie L. Myers and wife Beverly, and Mark A. Myers and wife Sheila; six grandchildren, Tiffany Lynch, Jessica Krause, Amy Brooks, Bryon Myers, Clinton Myers, and Jessica Landreth; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Lynch, Zoey Krause, and Colton Brooks; three brothers, Kenneth Myers, Bobby Myers, and Carl Myers. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, June 14, 2010 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the chapel of Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Jennings O'Neil officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family wishes to extend a very special thanks to the staff of Hospice, especially to Donna Wilson, Melissa Vaughn, and Trisha Vylstra for their loving and kind care of Mr. Myers.
