Billy Joseph Hull, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - Billy Joseph Hull, Sr. 75, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at Northern Hospital of Surry Co. He was born March 3, 1933 in Forsyth Co. to the late James Columbus Hull, Sr. and Edna Boles Hull. Mr. Hull served in the United States Navy and was a farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. Surviving are three sons, Billy Joseph Hull, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Mt. Airy, Franklin Columbus Hull of Galax, VA, and Timothy Matthew Hull (Loretta) of Lewisville; a daughter, Debbie Ann Hull of Winston-Salem; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Ruby Whicker of Kernersville, Edna Mae Clore of New Jersey, Shirley Hauser of Pennsylvania, and Betty Maynarich (John) of Walkertown; three brothers, James C. Hull, Jr. of Lexington, John Hull (Peggy) of Walkertown, and Terry Hull (Hariot) of Stokesdale ; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville by the Rev. Alan Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Love's United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the funeral home.
