Colfax -Billy Clifford Hinson, 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 28, 2010. He was born July 3, 1923 in Stanly Co. to the late William P. and Lois Lucas Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a WWII Army Veteran, a D-Day survivor and a Purple Heart recipient. He also was a retired minister with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma N. Lineberry Hinson whom he married on May 14, 1947. Surviving are his two daughters, Martha West and husband, Robert and Angelia Hinson; three sons, Mark Hinson and wife, Karen, Eric Hinson and wife Mildred, and Martin Kramer; seven grandchildren, Shane Kramer and wife, Cielo, Robert West, III and wife, Joanna, Danielle Charles and husband, James, Jonathan West, Michael Hinson, Hannah, and Sara Hinson; six great-grandchildren, Nadine, Michael, Joanna, and Angelia Kramer, Kaylee Charles, and Rachel West; A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Aycock Fellowship Ministries in Greensboro with Rev. Oral Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:30 am Thursday, December 2, 2010 prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mark Hinson, PO Box 248, Wanchese, NC 27981. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Hinson family.
