Billy Gray Hege

Mr. Billy Gray Hege, 82, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at his home. He was born June 6, 1931 in Forsyth County, the son of the late, Robert Permania and Ollie Viola Holloway Hege. Bill served with the US Navy and was former owner and operator of Bill Hege Carpets. He was an avid golfer and loved watching westerns on TV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Balford Hege and two sisters, Patsy Lawson and Viola Harrison. Survivors include one daughter, Tracye Higgins of Kernersville; his loving partner, Dottie Wise of Winston-Salem and his former wife, Martha T. Hege of Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Dr. Robert Wiseman officiating.
