Mr. Billy Joe Duggins, Jr., 57, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his daughter's home. He was born December 16, 1953 in Forsyth County to Frances Parks and Billy Joe Duggins, Sr. Mr. Duggins was of the Baptist faith. He was self-employed and owned Billy's Welding and Fabrication Shop which he enjoyed all his life. He raced at Bowman Gray Stadium for 19 years in all divisions and later helped his son run street division. He then moved to Hickory to race late model trucks. He enjoyed fishing of all types. Mr. Duggins was a loving father, son, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Dale Duggins and Johnny Rayson; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Parks. Surviving is one son, Wendell Duggins and wife Shari of Kernersville; one daughter, Billie ""Doll"" Braswell and husband Ryan of Winston-Salem; his children's mother, Dawn Duggins of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Zachary and Cameron Hill, Devin and Daylon Duggins; two step grandchildren, Justin Braswell and Jacob Miller; his mother, Frances James and husband Rod of Reedy Creek; his stepmother, Polly Duggins of Michigan; five sisters, Laura, Linda, Sonya, Maxie, and JoAnn; step sister, Dawn; two brothers, Lucky and Jamie; two step brothers, Gary and Jay; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and his racing family. A special thanks to Leon Clifton, who was his ""Pop"", and to the staff of Hospice, especially Branson, Princilla and Angela. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
