Billy Lee Cole

Mr. Billy Lee Cole, 71 of Lewisville, NC passed away Monday, January 03, 2011 at his home. Mr. Cole was born January 26, 1939 in Watauga County to the late Wiley James and Lena Houck Cole. Billy was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church for 45 years and was a member of the Watchman's Bible Sunday School Class. In addition of his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a brother; Clyde Cole and a brother-in-law, David Adams. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, JoAnn Eggers Cole of the home; a sister, Barbara Adams of Vilas, NC; two brothers, Clarence Cole and wife, Catherine of Boone, NC, Everette Cole and wife, Jean of Vilas, NC; a sister-in-law, Christine Cole of Boone, NC; a special niece, Lynn Funk and several other nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. The Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm following the Service at the Church. A Graveside Service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, January 6 in the Mountlawn Memorial Park and Gardens in Boone, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of W/S Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC or to the Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Cole Family. The Family wishes to thank Hospice for the care and support given to Mr. Cole and family.
