Billie Richie Cox

WINSTON-SALEM- Billie Sue Richie Cox, 79, passed away peacefully Friday, March 4, 2011 at home. She was born March 26, 1931 in Lexington, NC to the late Lewis A. Richie and Leah Davis Richie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Charles Cox of the home; a daughter, Linda Cox Johnson and husband, Scott ""Chip"" Johnson of Lewisville; a son, Gary Foster and wife Beverly of Minneapolis, MN; also surviving are four grandsons, Benjamin Foster, Thomas Foster, Bobby Johnson, and Hunter Johnson. Mrs. Cox was a former secretary at Western Electric Company. She was a faithful member of Ardmore Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Christa Warise officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kate B.
