Billie Jean Wright Benbow, 76, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Billie (Teen) was Born on Dec. 8, 1946 in New Castle, Virginia to Frank Abbott Wright and Mary Brooks Eaton Martin.

She graduated from East Forsyth High School. She worked and retired from Hunter Publishing Co. making School yearbooks. She was a happy, loving, caring Mom and friend. She had a gentle kind spirit and a smile that captured the hearts of everyone she would meet. Her family was the light of her life. She found joy in flowers, gardening, traveling and most of all the beach.

She was survived by Danny Wooten Loving special friend and companion. Son Michael Todd Moore and wife Peggy Lyn Moore, stepson Lawrence Leon Benbow and wife Sangeeta, brother Buddy Martin and wife Linda, niece Angie, nephew Tyler, 4 grandchildren, Amanda Smith and husband Matt, John Bobby and wife Lucia, Sonali Benbow, Manisha Benbow and 5 great grandchildren, Abigail, Isaiah, Julian, Emmett, Weston.

A visitation will be conducted on Monday July 10, 2023 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel at 10:00am with the graveside service following at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Shriners Hospital for children or the Wounded Warrior project.
