Bill Fowler

Mr. Bill Fowler, 92, of Winston-Salem, affectionately known as ""Daddy JuJu"", passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home. He was born in Pacolet Mills, SC on August 15, 1924 to William H. and Lola Bell Fowler. Mr. Fowler graduated from Clemson University and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was retired from AT&T. He was a dedicated Christian man to all, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a charter member of Peace Haven Baptist Church. He was an avid reader and all around handyman, and a member of NC Federation of Square Dancing. One great passion of his was over 30 years of volunteer work at Forsyth Memorial Hospital and other various organizations. He was most proud of his family. He is survived by a daughter Cindy Smith and husband Dale of Winston-Salem, two sons Lynn Fowler and wife Kathy of Wilmington, and Bill Fowler and wife Michelle of Marion, NC, grandchildren, Jeremy Fowler and wife Christi, Jamie Fowler and wife, Dee Dee, Jennifer Grantmyre and husband Rob, Rosa and Sophie Fowler, great-grandchildren Jordan and Sydney Fowler, Luke and Ava Fowler and Bryce Grantmyre. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Dr. James Joseph officiating at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. Donations or memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliatice Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Special thanks to Hospice for holding our hands and Lydia for that special moment.
