Beverly Neal McCaskill

Mrs. Beverly Neal McCaskill, 56, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014.

Beverly was born February 7, 1958 in Orange County, to Willard Neal, Sr. and the late Mary Ramsey Neal. She worked for 8 years as a Packer for Energizer Battery. A member at New Jerusalem Cathedral, she loved to sing and enjoyed gospel music and good preaching. She also loved to read. Beverly was married for 35 years to the love of her life, Joseph, and her favorite thing was spending time with him, and caring for her 3 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and father, Beverly is survived by children, Tenesa McCaskill-Gainey, Natori McCaskill, and Shawntara McCaskill; grandchildren, Makayla Gainey, T.J. Gainey, and Mr. Landon Gainey; sisters, Jackie Moore, Mary Denise Neal, and Tiwana Peoples; and brothers, Willard Neal, Jr., Michael Neal, Ronald Neal, Dennis Neal, Shawn Neal, and Greg Neal.

A celebration of Beverly's life will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at Alston Chapel United Holy Church, Pittsboro, NC at 1:00 pm with Dr. Kevin A. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family also encourages everyone who is attending the service to wear green, as that was Beverly's favorite color.
