Beulah Priddy King

Mrs. Beulah Priddy King, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on September 24, 2010. She was born in Stokes County on March 19, 1915 to the late Perry Priddy and Mary Elizabeth Wall Priddy Duggins. Mrs. King was an active and faithful member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Winston-Salem for many decades and had retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She was also known as ""Aunt Pinky"" to several nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Bernie King and four brothers, Carl Priddy, JC Duggins, Derwood Duggins and Kenneth Duggins Mrs. King is survived by one son, Thomas Welford King and wife Frances of Winston-Salem, two grandchildren, Greg King Sr. and wife Susan of Winston-Salem and Beth Hicks and husband Kevin of Charlotte, four wonderful great-grandchildren, Steffie, Greg Jr., Mason and Emily and four sisters, Juanita Faust of Winston-Salem, Virginia Mickle of Durham, Odesa Hamm and Margie Wall both of King. She is also survived by a very special cousin, Louise Lawson and many other cousins and special friends. Funeral services for Mrs. King will be conducted 2:30 Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Gus Thomas and Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Mineral Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 3733 Ogburn Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Her family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care she received from the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care Center. Jo, Thanks for everything.
