Betty Jackson Mendenhall Davis

Mrs. Betty Jackson Mendenhall Davis, 88, of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1933 in Surry County, NC to Joseph Leander Jackson and Amanda Nevada Howard Jackson. Mrs. Davis was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was owner and operator of Betty’s Beauty Shop. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Robert Mendenhall; a son, Randy Davis; one brother and a sister. Surviving are her husband, Brady Louis Davis; three daughters, Donna Jennings (Michael), Debra Miller (Jerry) and Denese Mathews (Joe); a son, Tony Davis; three grandchildren, Christopher Blevins, April Jennings Whittington (Chris) and John Tyler Nixon; four great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Josh Boles officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
